Solutions for Social Networking Overload

Spend a lot of time managing your social networking? Don’t we all. Having a tool that can make that job easier is important. In this review the poster takes a look at Tweetdeck and Inbox2. Both of these are programs I have used and both have their strong suits. Personally I prefer a 3rd choice Hootsuite which is a similar program but is web based instead of a desktop client. This allows me to have my setup no matter what computer I am working on, as long as it has an Internet connection.

The Golden Age of Real Estate Search

Search is changing. With the amount of apps that now have geo tagging capabilities, a list that continues to grow, searching for houses for sale around you is going to become easier for both the consumer and the agent on the road. To see how things will be changing this year check out the links in the “Immersive video” section of this post.

Simply Easier Scheduling With MeetWith.Me

I had someone use this technology on me the other day to schedule a meeting. I was blown away by the simplicity and effectiveness. Check out this review then let me know how you think this could be used in your business.

A new (better) way to connect your social sphere

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, RSS it can get overwhelming. Perhaps Gist can help. It’s a new tool discovered this weekend thanks to this post from Dustin. It actually offers a new paradigm for keeping tabs on your sphere… rather than updates sorted by timeline, they’re sorted by contact and those most important to you rise to the top. This can be a great tool for agents and I’ll be getting a review together for you soon.

Get Outloook features inside Gmail

As a techy agent, I use email a lot. And I prefer Gmail. There are two Gmail plugins I cannot live without, Remember the Milk for tasks and MailBrowser for contacts. If you are like most Gmail users you were once loyal to Outlook. Some of the same Outlook features you were used to such as adding note to contacts or scheduling an appointment with a contact are available right in Gmail thanks to MailBrowser. In this article, introduce yourself to this nifty plugin and see what it can do for you.

Finally! Google home search appears

The more tech-savvy agents have been talking about it for a while now, but this is the first time I have seen Google home search running on an agent’s website like this. Ken Brand is one of the most forward thinking brokers out there so it does not surprise me to see him with it first.

Straight from Google: How to rank your videos higher

I love video. I consider myself more of a vlogger than blogger these days. More and more agents are turning to video, too. So, when Joe Ferrara shared this video with me on why your video may or may not be performing well on Google searches I had to share it with you.

How safe is your home office?

Many, if not the overwhelming majority, of technology driven agents work from their home. There are some good resources in this article to protect your data if you work from home. A favorite of mine that’s not included in the article is Dropbox (later this week you’ll get an in-depth review of why I think Dropbox is so valuable). But, even without the mention of it, the article is still a handy resource of things you need to be doing to protect your home office.
