Sheesh! I find it pretty surprising that Realtors are turning to a mortgage lender to learn about social media and how to build a presence on the web. Good on Dan for recognizing the opportunity to get closer to his agents but this is definitely NOT his responsibility IMHO. With the high commission splits most agent pay their brokers, why shouldn’t it primarily be the responsibility of brokers to train their agents to use Web 2.0 tools? Personally I would be embarrassed to use my lender contacts in this capacity. Just goes to show you how little value-added brokers are providing their agents if agents are starved for quality training on these subjects. Am I wrong?
I’ve told Dan a million times that I think he sooooo gets it! Dan is such an awesome guy and forward thinking, committed, ethical and generous business man! He would be my broker partner if he was in my area!
